• Your desk.

Measure your room and work out where you ideally want the desk to be situated, sounds daft but make sure you have room

Think about your sources of natural light if you have a window.

Select the largest desk that fits in the space you have chosen as you can always use the spare desk space to place storage drawers or other storage solutions to keep your work space clutter-free! 

When choosing your desk, think about how long you usually spend working and sitting at your desk.

A sit stand or height adjustable desk could be a good option if you spend a long time at your desk.

• Your chair.

Always choose the best chair for your budget as you don’t want to have issues with back pain.

Remember a good quality chair is an investment in your health and wellness.

You will spend a lot of time in your chair so choose it carefully and make sure it is comfortable and you will work better.

• Storage Solutions

Depending on your space, you can choose as much as is possible. 

There are lots of great storage ideas from desktop multidrawers to hotboxes to filing cabinets. 

Think about what you need to store and the best solution for that storage. Do you have lots of A4 paper in files or small knick-knacks and cables and chargers?

Don’t forget you can use the space under your desk.  Under desk pedestals are a great item as they combine storage drawers and filing drawers and are usually on wheels so can be moved around easily. Filing cabinets are also great as you can put items like a printer on top and then you have plenty of storage below.
